Advertising to Children

The average child in the United States watches between 25,000 and 40,000 commercials each year.

Advertisers spend between $15 and $17 billion to market food and goods to children ages 3 to 12. 

Children between the ages of 8 and 12 influence $30 billion in spending by their parents.

Children under 11 years old spend $18 billion each year.

Teens spend $160 billion per year.

As much as $670 billion of parent purchases are influenced by children under the age of 12.
